Application for registration as FBO
To file as an FBO, you need to fill out an application and submit it to the FSSAI. You will also need to provide proof of your business, such as your business registration certificate or articles of incorporation. Once your application is received, the FSSAI will review it and determine whether or not you are eligible for registration. If you are approved, you will be issued a food license that you must display at your place of business.
Payment
After you have submitted your application form along with the requisite documents, you will need to make a payment. The FSSAI license fee is divided into two parts- the application fee and the license fee. The application fee is non-refundable and is to be paid at the time of submitting the form. The license fee, on the other hand, is refundable if your application is rejected. Both these fees can be paid online through credit/debit cards, net banking, or UPI. Once you’ve made the payments, the FSSAI will assign an inspector to review your documentation. If they find that all the requirements are met and no changes are required, they will forward it for consideration by experts from relevant disciplines such as chemistry, food microbiology, nutrition, etc. Once this is done, your license should be issued within 10 days after approval.
Document Verification Stage
After submission of the FSSAI application form, the first stage is document verification. In this stage, the authority will verify all the documents that have been submitted along with the application form. This is to ensure that all the information provided by you is correct and in line with the food safety standards set by FSSAI. If any of the documents are found to be missing or incorrect, your application will be rejected.
Processing Stage
The first stage of FSSAI registration is the processing stage. In this stage, you will need to submit an application along with the required documents. Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by the FSSAI authorities. If everything is in order, you will be asked to pay the registration fee. After the fee is paid, your application will be processed and you will be issued a food license. Your new license will come in the form of a plastic card. It contains information such as your company name, address, and other relevant details. All this information is set on the back side of the card.
Approval Stage
The FSSAI registration process is not a one-time event. Your food business will need to renew its registration every year. To get started, you will need to fill out an application and submit it to the FSSAI. Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by the FSSAI. If everything looks good, you will be asked to pay a fee and submit additional documentation. Once your payment and documentation are received, your application will be processed and you will receive your food license.
Post Approval Stage and Renewal Requirements
After you have applied for and received your FSSAI license, you will need to renew it every year. To do so, simply login to the FSSAI website and follow the instructions. You will need to provide updated information about your business, as well as any changes that have occurred since you last applied. After you have submitted your renewal application, an inspector will visit your premises to verify that everything is in order. If the inspector approves your request, they will issue a certificate confirming that your food safety license has been renewed.
